Brian Robb: Video: Malcolm X on the Civil Rights Movement

This post was originally posted at The New Democrat on Blogger

Malcolm X seems to be saying that instead of "African-Americans feeling the need to live in livable middle class Caucasian communities, that they should be building their own communities and schools. Where their community can live and do well in America". Instead feeling the need to have to work in and manage business’s in Caucasian middle class communities, they should be building the human infrastructure and capital that their communities need within their communities and building these communities to the point that their people are successful in America.

What I take from that is that he's saying that "instead of waiting for others to do for you, you should step up and do for you what you and your community needs to live well. Build your own quality of life and communities with the infrastructure that's needed to make that happen". The right schools, local small business's, restaurants construction companies, gas stations, hospitals and everything else.
